Complimentary medicine (or) otherwise alternative medicine is used as a main stream medical care. An example regarding, the use of acupuncture to reduce the side effects of cancer treatment. When medical expert and health care providers render both type of care it is called Integrative medicine. Alternative medicine is used as optional, instead of main stream medical care.
