Once in charge of the Hospital Infection Control Service of the City of Franca’s General Hospital, she was responsible for the control of all prescribed antimicrobial medication and received an award for the best paper presented at the Brazilian Hospital Infection Control Congress in 1998. Since 1997, she works with the approach and treatment of all chronic diseases in a holistic way, with treatment guided through the teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hippocrates. Dr. Hiu Yee KWAN obtained her B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Biology from the Hong Kong University and Ph.D degree in Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She received her postdoctoral training in the Department of Nutritional Sciences & Toxicology at the University of California, Berkeley, before joining the School. Dr. Kwan develops various research platforms to have new insight into the interplay between obesity and cancer, and discover novel herbal-based target therapeutics to treat cancer, obesity and its comorbid conditions. She has published over 60 research papers, review articles, editorials, and book chapter in the areas of oncology, obesity, nutrition, and vascular biology in prestigious journals like Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS), Circulation Research, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, FASEB J, Journal of Proteome Research, Scientific Reports, The Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, Molecular Cell, Nature Communication and Cell. Besides that he has interest in nine academic specializations in the field of Humanities, Community Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental and Sustainable Development Sciences, Strategic Management, International Marketing, Cultural Arts, Distance Education and Peace Education. Presently he serves as an Honorary Executive Director of International Council of Electro homeopathy for Malaysia Chapter and an Honorary Executive Director for Education of American Nutritional Medical Association for Malaysia Chapter.

Milagrosa Chiu Shieh Liu has completed her Doctor degree in Naturopathy in 2000 from Trinity College of Natural Health, Indiana, USA. She has studied the Doctor degree of TCM from Chang Chung University of Traditional Chinese Medicine China. Presently, she is the Global Affairs Officer of COMFORT Helathy Tecnology Co.,Ltd. She has presented in more than 30 international conferences in Asia and Latin American countries. She has been serving as a Psychologist, Nutritionist and Host & Columnist in the program of alternative integrative medicine of CNR/CRI in China and Central TV in Rep Dominican.

Dr GOH Chye Tee is Director of NTU Chinese Medicine Clinic and former Director of Biomedical Sciences/Chinese Medicine Program at the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In the midst of his career as an accounting professor at the Nanyang Business School, Dr Goh completed a Diploma in TCM from the Singapore College of TCM, and a PhD from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in China. Subsequently, he became as a volunteer physician and a clinical instructor at a charity clinic, and was also member of the Accreditation Committee and TCM Examiner at the Ministry of Health Singapore. Lately, he also served as a WHO International Peer Reviewer on a TCM Standardisation project initiated by the World Health Organisation. Dr Goh’s areas of research include: acupuncture for pain management and bowel disorder of cancer patients; Management of Sub-health conditions with TCM; Modernization of TCM with technology, and Smart Management of Wealth and Health for gracious living.

His areas of expertise are Accounting, Cost Management, and TCM. His current research works focus on the integration of traditional culture and modern management.
